VortexVN Demo (PC)

This project is still in development, this is a demo of the pc version
This project is inspired by Love is Strange and acts as a spiritual successor.
Vortex is a dating sim fan game in which you play as Victoria and romance Chloe, Max, Kate, and Rachel. The game is set in an AU where nobody was drugged at the tempest, there is no storm, the Kate video never happened, and Jefferson doesn't exist.
Victoria is still a bitch though
At the start of the game, you are given a quiz to help determine who you will date. The plot revolves around Victoria waking up from a hangover and trying to figure out what happened between her and her love interest during last night's party.
You and your girl posse ask around, potentially bully your classmates, or work hard to gain their trust.
The game has as a scoring system for Victoria's ego. Should you be mean to your classmates to uphold the status quo or cave in and let them walk over you, it will factor in what type of ending you'll get.

-Download the game
-Go the folder where you downloaded the game
-Right click on the zip file and hit 'Extract all'
-Enjoy
note: If game isn't starting up try running it as administrator

6/04/2025: Stella and Dana encounter fully scripted and animated, chapter.2 release date set to late July or Early August

Hello there
Is it ok to ask if the good side (Light Side, for example) Victoria is basically letting everyone step onto her? The EGO system you mentioned on Tumblr is an interesting concept, but what if I want Victoria to be kind, but firm? If Victoria can earn Dark Side points for EGO (I played a lot of KotOR II, my apologies), could she potentially earn some Light Side points too without letting people walk over her? Thank you.
EDIT: I played through the demo you posted. I like the game concept and as a Victoria enjoyer, I thoroughly enjoyed the VN you're putting together. I am eager to see the final product. :)

I just played through it and had a lot of fun!
The writing is sooo good and it was very enjoable to read through. I love the "ego mechanic", it's such a perfect addition to Veronicas character. I also really like the art, it feels very fitting to the world and story, there is just so much to love about it, and both the writing and the art compliment each other very well.
The shower scene is perfection. I love the way it's presented and the insight it gives.
I'm very excited for whats to come in the next episode :3
